After four encores, the last show Hells Redemption would ever perform together was finally over.  Now backstage with only immediate family members present and a few scattered security personnel, Doc asked them all to gather around.

He held up his champagne flute, “Congratulations on one your most successful tours.  You truly are my swan song and I am very proud of each of you.  Thank you for making this historic occasion memorable and one I’ll cherish forever.”

Everyone cheered and toasted their glasses at him and after they settled down, he continued, “As you all know…”

“And keep reminding us.”  Seth mumbled and took a sip of his sparkling water.

“Thank you Seth, yes, and as I remind you all constantly, I am officially retiring tonight.”  He finished and nodded to a gentleman standing near the doorway that quickly disappeared but returned with a large wrapped flat object to which he brought over to Doc.

He handed the man his drink and took it from him and stood it up and continued, “In roughly two hours and thirty-four minutes the formal documents handing over Madison Management to its new President and CEO will be executed.  However, that’s not all this bright and very capable young woman standing next to me is receiving.”

She looked up at him in confusion, to which he answered by ripping off the paper to the object he was holding.  It revealed a signage plaque which read, Mitchell Celebrity Management Incorporated.  With tears in his eyes he told her, “I’m glad you told him yes, you’re not only President, but owner.  Take care of this legacy because it’s now yours.”

Every jaw in the room dropped.  Even the toddlers in their strollers were in shock.

Her hand flew to her mouth and fresh tears entered her eyes.  She gave up trying not to cry like a girl and flat out started bawling.  He handed the sign to Hiatt who was standing next to him and the two embraced.

She had never cried this hard in her life.

As she continued to sob, the drummer welled up, “Ah dudes, this is all sorts of epic, and I need a hug too.  Here dude, take this back, I’m going in.”  He told the security guy who brought in the plaque, handed it off to him and then went and joined Doc and Angela in the embrace.

The rest of the band members, who were having a hard time holding it together themselves, put down their glasses and did the same.

This only made her cry even harder.

“It’s alright babe, we got your back.  Anyone messes with our favorite manager; we’ll totally kick their ass.”  Hiatt reassured her while continuing to sob.

“Ja, and if they mess with you in Europe, I’m there!”  Cole added sniffling.
